LIFE UNDER CONSTRUCTION // Home Improvement with Jesus
Show Notes

Do you love a good home improvement show? I (Tosha Williams) sure do! I love to see old, broken, ugly spaces become beautiful places that bring homeowners awe and joy. In order for a great home makeover to happen, though, homeowners must always give the builders and designers permission to work.

This is what must happen when we live "LIFE UNDER CONSTRUCTION" with Jesus, too. If we want some "home improvement" on the houses of our lives with the Greatest Builder and Designer, then we have to give Jesus control in our lives. When we do, He will begin working on us, often starting in the foundation and crawl spaces of our life.

This is what happened in my family in the physical realm, and I share that story to talk about how God wants to tear out the lies and faulty foundations in our lives in order to build a firm foundation. This is what Jesus was talking about when He said: “Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock" (v. 24). The foundations of our lives are made strong and sure when we build our lives on Him - - - that's "Home Improvement with Jesus!"

Spend some time meeting with God about this verse, then let that be the springboard into making Him known through  intentional, meaningful conversation with those God has entrusted to you.
