The Black Diamond Life of Discipleship // Choosing to Brave the Mountain and Go on the Adventure with Jesus
Show Notes

Discipleship can be as intimidating as standing at the top of a black diamond ski run and looking over the edge of a mountain. What if we wipe out? What if we can't do this? What if we find out we're not good enough? What if people laugh at us? Sometimes we're tempted to  take the simple way out, ride back down the mountain on the lift and go sip hot chocolate in the lodge.

Let's face it:  there are a 1000 things that will stop us from going on the amazing discipleship journey with Jesus. However, just like I found out one beautiful wintry day in Breckenridge, sometimes you've just got to take the risk and go on the adventure.

Thing is, Jesus told His followers to go make disciples. When we live "the black diamond life of discipleship," we can go make disciples with our children, our friends, our family members or whomever God entrusts to us. We have the privilege to meet with God then make Him known - - - - it's that simple and and it's that profound.

So, this year, just like Jesus sent His original followers down from a mountaintop to go tell the world about Him, let's brave this mountain and go make disciples, too.

It's a new season - - - time to hit the slopes. You ready to join us? Then let's skip the intimidation and get straight to the conversation!
