My Journey Grace at the Asbury Revival // The Revival Just Keeps Going...
A couple weeks ago, my youngest daughter got to be part of the Asbury Revival one evening. As she and her dad left Wilmore, KY, Journey Grace texted: “We left the revival,” just as a heads up to mom that they were on their way back home. My text back to her was: “You left the revival, but has the revival left YOU?” Her answer: “NEVER!”
I’ve been so intrigued by the revival at Asbury College. What a privilege it was, then, to get to interview Journey Grace about her experience there. Amongst other things, she told me that 3 ½ hours felt like fifteen minutes, the time with God was so incredible.
The revival didn’t stop in Wilmore, KY, though. It is still going on, carried in hearts like hers to the rest of us, with the message of Matthew 28:19: “Go!”
As you listen to the podcast and read our one-word verse for this week, I challenge you to ask God to speak to YOU through it. What is He saying to you? Why does it matter? What else does His Word say to you about that? And, in worship, where does He want YOU to “Go”?
Thing is, we don’t have to go TO a revival to experience one. As we go and do whatever God is calling us to do this week, I’m pretty sure the revival will just keep going...
