Destination Decisions: Death or Life? // Dealing with the Topic of Suicide
Our kids are receiving so many conflicting messages about their worth and value from our culture. As Christian families, we want to affirm life and their lives and others' lives as we talk to the next generation about what God's Word says: "Choose Life!"
“I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you...may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life.” Deuteronomy 30:19b-20a
Choosing life affects your choices along the way. Choosing life may mean you stop watching certain tv shows or delete a dangerous social media account. It may mean you raise money for a crisis pregnancy center or help refugees. Choosing life may mean you go tell a trusted adult when a friend admits suicidal thoughts - - - or you tell someone when YOU are the one struggling. There are so many ways you can “choose life,” and God’s Word says this is literally “in your heart, so that you can do it” (Deuteronomy 30:14).
This is such an important devotion to consider and discipleship conversation to have. Seek Him Speak Him about this today!
